Ship design

We are experienced in the design of various types of ships, such as tugs, passenger vessels, patrol craft, work boats and dredgers.

The development of a new vessel is an interesting process. The bases is always the use and sailing- area conditions of the ship, described in a ´design brief´ that will be produced in close cooperation with the future ship- owner. The design of commercial ships often calls for innovative solutions.

The initial ship design concept is then established. This is followed by a full hydronamic and structural analysis, using specialised computer programs, and in some cases model testing. In addition, we can provide the selection of a suitable shipyard, major equipment and supervision during the actual building process, including commissioning.
