Marimecs hosts case study and joins Maritime Engineering Career Fair at NHL Stenden
Marimecs recently returned to NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences for another inspiring day with Maritime Engineering students. During an interactive case study, students were challenged to tackle a real-world maritime engineering issue and apply their technical knowledge to a practical situation.
The session was led by Oliver Huitema and Sjoerd Bouma, who guided the students through the challenge. Working individually and in teams, the students analyzed the case, discussed different approaches and developed solutions based on engineering principles. The exercise encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration. Skills that are essential in the maritime industry.
Following the case study, Marimecs also participated in the Maritime Engineering Career Fair. This provided an excellent opportunity to meet students, discuss career opportunities and share insights into the wide variety of projects and disciplines within maritime engineering.
Marimecs believes in strengthening the connection between education and industry. By sharing practical experience and engaging directly with future engineers, the company contributes to the development of the next generation of maritime professionals.
