Sand pump: Electrically driven, Type MIBS 1000M-12s, 2,050 kW
Jet water pumps: Nijhuis 1,500 kW, capacity 7,100 m³/h, 5–10 bar, towing arrangement
Suction pipe / ladders: 900 mm diameter pipe with underwater pump installation, cardan joint, jet water line and draghead. Ladders equipped with winches and swell compensators.
Dry-discharge installation: Hydraulic crane with 25 m³ grab, travelling on rails. Conveyor belts electrically / hydraulically driven

Marimecs worked with the Dutch dredging operator to deliver the full scope of naval architecture, structural design and systems engineering for the 7,400 m³ trailing suction hopper dredger Spauwer. The vessel was shaped around a clear objective: high reliability, maximum uptime and long-term operational value.
Following completion of the design process, the build moved rapidly forward, with the first hull sections assembled early in the construction phase. The result is a modern, capable TSHD tailored to the operator’s working profile and built on solid engineering foundations.
