Good to know
The Peter is a versatile bed leveller developed for Hoekman Shipbuilding & Dutch Dredging and designed by Marimecs to deliver accuracy, reliability and efficiency across a wide range of dredging environments. Building on the proven Kees jr. platform, we refined the vessel’s design and naval architecture to create a compact workboat that offers consistent, high-precision seabed levelling.
With a length of 22 metres, the Peter combines strong propulsion with advanced multibeam and single beam survey systems, enabling detailed 3D mapping and highly accurate profiling. Marimecs applied targeted engineering and CFD analysis to optimise hull performance for fuel-efficient transits, supporting economical operation as the vessel moves between project sites throughout the Netherlands, Germany and France.
A forward-looking approach to emission control was incorporated at the time of build, aligning with Dutch Dredging’s ambition to operate cleaner and more efficient workboats.
